FOSTER

SAVING RED-LISTED CA. SHELTER DOGS

All of our adoptable dogs have been pulled from various Southern California shelters the day they were due to be euthanized. Without foster homes, these dogs would not be alive. We owe a great deal to our fosters and are so grateful for the wonderful support system we have that enables us to work as a team to save wonderful dogs from euthanasia. We accept fosters all throughout California, and in surrounding states. Located elsewhere? Not a problem. We may have a dog for you. We cover the cost of fostering, including medical and supplies. We ask that you provide the dog with a temporary home until we can place them with their forever family.

BABS

MABEL

BABS

4 years old

Female

Babs came to us from the euthanasia list at Moreno Valley animal shelter. She was a tough case initially. There were no notes on Babs. She sat in her kennel for months. After bonding with an amazing foster, and training with Nk9 Academy, Babs learned confidence and blossomed into such a sweet little social butterfly. She is the life of the party now. Loves dogs (yes, she even has a boyfriend now..2 actually). She is just an absolute doll.

ALMA

MABEL

BABS

1.5 years old

Female

Alma came to us from the euthanasia list at Moreno Valley Animal Care. She was super fearful in her kennel and also didn't get out for months. Alma has been bounced around from foster to foster and is really looking to find her permanent forever family. She is a sweetheart. She takes time to open up to you, but once she does, she is your best friend and the perfect sidekick. She loves all dogs, animals, cats, and people.

MABEL

MABEL

MABEL

5 years old

Female

Mabel came to us from the euthanasia list at Riverside animal shelter. She was pregnant, and gave birth about 6 days after leaving the shelter. She is a big lovebug. Loves people. She is dog selective. Give her time, and she can adjust to a situation. We recommend taking it slow with Mabel and other dogs. Larger calm male dogs would be okay. **Mabel will be getting spayed on 10/19/22 and will be ready for her forever home at that point.

DAISY

DAISY

MABEL

3.5  years old

Female

Daisy is a total DREAM! She came to us from the Riverside Animal Shelter. Daisy is extremely friendly and absolutely loves people. She is great with kids, adults and dogs. She loves to play and have a good time. She is the definition of a happy-go-lucky girl. Looking for a perfect dog? Then look no further than Daisy! She is everything your heart desires..and more!

TAZ

DAISY

ELLIE

1.5 years old

Male

Taz is a super sweet boy who we pulled from the Orange County Animal Control euthanasia list. He is playful, sweet, and super loving. He is good with dogs-both male and female. A home with a large breed, friendly dog would be ideal! Taz is also great with kids. Super handsome and an all around fabulous boy!

ELLIE

DAISY

ELLIE

3 years old

Female

Ellie (full name "Brielle") recently came to us from Moreno Valley Animal Shelter's euthanasia list. She was pregnant in the shelter and actually gave birth 12 hours after being rescued from the shelter! Brielle is currently raising her puppies. Afterwards, she will be spayed and available for adoption. She is extremely loving and oh-so-sweet! She is a tiny girl, at only 37 lbs. Brielle is a total angel - her future family will be SO lucky to have join their pack!

SEBASTIAN

SEBASTIAN

SEBASTIAN

1.5  years old

Male

Sebastian was saved from the euthanasia list at Moreno Valley. He entered the shelter as a stray, dehydrated and exhausted. No one knows much about Sebastian's history..at all! We do know that he is a great, lovable, friendly boy who is searching for his family. Calm for the most part, loves his bones, loves to cuddle. He is used to males and females, as his current foster is an adult male. Has energy and would make the perfect adventure buddy.

DIXIE

SEBASTIAN

SEBASTIAN

8 months old

Female

Dixie's story is a little different than other dogs we have pulled from a shelter. She actually came directly from Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles, a hub for homelessness. The owner was considering breeding her and was not taking care of her. He ended up surrendering her. Dixie has been fully vetted, spayed and is ready for her forever family. Great with kids and people, she is still in the puppy stage and needs a home with structure and training. She has all the love to give!

MONTY

SEBASTIAN

EMMETT

8 months old

Male

Monty was found wandering the streets by a Good Samaritan. He was homeless, abandoned at a motel by his previous owner. Monty was living at a homeless encampment in a cardboard box. The people he was with didn't want him, so he was surrendered to our rescue. We fully vetted him, neutered him, and even took him to a neurologist to make sure that everything was okay. Monty is an amazingly sweet boy who will make his future family SO happy! He is great with people and dogs.

EMMETT

EMMETT

EMMETT

4 years old

Male

Emmett is a happy-go-lucky goofball who made it off the euthanasia list at Orange County Animal Care in Tustin...twice! 9/10 times you will find him with a toy in his mouth. He LOVES to show off his toys for you. Loves to give kisses. He is very sweet, and non-reactive to dogs. **Due to resource guarding, he will be going to Alpine k9 for board and train 10/13 to work through any possessiveness he may have over food or toys.

LADY

EMMETT

LADY

1.5 years old

Female

Lady came straight off the Stanislaus Animal shelter euth list. This girl was returned to the shelter a couple times by previous owners who didn't want to put in the training or effort that a dog requires in order to succeed. Luckily, Lady has had an amazing foster who has worked with her day in and day out, teaching her that she doesn't need to always be the alpha. Lady used to be a little too dominant (not always, but sometimes!) with other dogs.

She is a changed woman now, and actually has become quite the little lady! She LOVES people.

ACE

EMMETT

LADY

8 years old

Male

Ace came from the euthanasia list at Orange County Animal Care. He had an extremely rough life prior to getting pulled from the shelter. He came to our rescue in horrible condition. Throughout the past few months, his ears and skin have greatly improved. He lived a life full of neglect outside on a rope. He really loves his fosters and has bonded to them pretty deeply. **Ace will be going to board and train with Wolfmotherk9 on 10/15.

ABOUT

RESCUE

LEGISLATION

RESCUE

The Pitty Committee aims to save as many dogs as possible from California high kill shelters through extensive networking and rescue efforts. Our focus is mainly "Pit Bull" type dogs and "Bully breeds," which make up a large percentage of shelter dogs.

RIGHTS

LEGISLATION

RESCUE

We are strongly against BSL ("Breed-Specific Legislation) laws that unfairly stereotype entire dog breeds. These laws are ineffective, inhumane, and put thousands of innocent, friendly dogs at risk of impound or euthanasia-merely for looking a certain way.

LEGISLATION

LEGISLATION

LEGISLATION

We spearhead animal rights advocacy campaigns, draft petitions and call on lawmakers and government agencies to bring justice to those without a voice. We believe that uniting together against animal abuse and injustice within the dog community is vital.
