We would be so amazingly grateful if you would consider donating towards Lucy's dental appointment. Lucy has a tooth that may need to be extracted.
We *must* put down a $250 deposit in order to schedule the appointment. Once scheduled, the remaining balance will be due the day of her appointment.
We (ESPECIALLY Lucy) would really, REALLY appreciate any donations towards this appointment. If you cannot donate, NO problem whatsoever. Sharing this link to your social media or Neighborhood apps is TOTALLY FREE and just as helpful in getting the word out!
Lucy is such a precious girl, who has come SO FAR in the year she has been out of the shelter. Please help us ensure that this gorgeous, Pitty princess is treated with the utmost LOVE and CARE every step of her journey.
Thank you SO much in advance!
LOVE, LUCY & TEAM TPC
BACKSTORY:
Lucy is a Downey ACC (Los Angeles Shelter) survivor! Not to mention, she is the most precious soul. The poor thing was surrendered to the shelter, abandoned by her initial family and left to be euthanized at only a year old :(
While at the shelter, Lucy was adopted and returned ONE day later for being too "skittish". Well... they *weren't* wrong.. but it was to be expected with this poor sweet heart. She was so terrified at who to trust, that she wanted to run away from those trying to save her.
Luckily, we saw the glass "half-full" in regards to Lucy's return to the shelter. Was it sad for Lucy? You bet. BUT... it was our chance to rescue Lucy... and do it the right way.
Lucy has been in the most AMAZING, STABLE, LOVING & PATIENT Foster home for over a year. We are so proud of her and so thankful for her Foster Fam who has stuck by her through and through. THEY are the reasons why Lucy has come so far #ItTakesAVillage
Are you ready for a total tear-jerker? Grab your box of Kleenex.. and take a seat... because we are about to share the most AMAZING story of Roxy & Jumper, 2 BEAUTIFUL Pitty sisters who defeated who defeated ALL odds by surviving the shelter system.
Sweet Roxy & Jumper were surrendered to Downey Animal Care Center (in Los Angeles) by their owner. At 5 years old, after living together their whole lives, these sisters were suddenly torn apart and thrown into separate cement, steel-barred kennels, waiting for someone to come save them.
Roxy was soon up for euthanasia, as her sweet, shy, gentle soul was too fragile for the shelter. She was not doing well. We heard about sweet Roxy needing a Rescue, and our organization The Pitty Committee immediately jumped at locating one for her. Call it a miracle or divine intervention... but on the way to the shelter, we learned that Roxy was surrendered with her sis Jumper (Yeah.... we had NO clue earlier!!)
Roxy's wonderful getaway driver from the shelter was given the "OK" to try to pick up both girls. And guess what? That special day at Downey, both Roxy & Jumper were rescued from euthanasia..TOGETHER.
Reuniting the two girls was so special. They immediately cuddled on the car ride out of Downey, as if to say "THANK YOU FOR SAVING US. WE MISSED ONE ANOTHER SO, SO MUCH". To say this left us humans teary-eyed and beyond grateful for this "magical Rescue" is quite the understatement.
What a blessing that these girls went on to the most LOVING, AMAZING FOSTER HOME in Nor-Cal. These girls lived in the best, most stable home for over three months, decompressing and getting used to the "home-life" again.
It's just icing on the cake that they found the most WONDERFUL ADOPTER up in Canada. These two bonded sisters now live on a GORGEOUS, sprawling property with tons of room to adventure, explore and simply LIVE life so loved and cherished, just as they were always meant to live.
This "Trip to Freedom" was not the cheapest, but it was obviously beyond worth it and we would do it INFINITY times over! SO much had to go into this trip but it couldn't have gone more perfectly.
In arranging their travel plans, we did have to get health certificates for the girlies to travel outside of the United States. We have paid for the entirety of the trip, except for the final vet bill.
If the story of these two wonderful girls touched your heart, will you please consider making a small donation toward their past-due vet bill today? It would mean SO much.
Will you share this fundraiser with your network of rescue dog/Pitty lovers???
Thank you SO much for your support and dedication to the Pitties. We are only able to successfully rescue dogs thanks to your immense generosity. We greatly appreciate you for being a part of TEAM PITTY COMMITTEE.
